After Unbinding, I Chose My Ex’s Rival
解绑后,我选了前任死对头
Synopsis
I had been in a Spiritual Bond with the S-class Sentinel Qin Sheng for ten years, and for the third time, he abandoned me during a mission.
A second before the explosion, he brushed past me, shielding a B-rank female guide beneath his body. He turned his head and shouted to me, “Brother, hang in there!”
What flashed through my mind, however, was the searing oath we had made to each other when we first bonded ten years ago: “From this day forward, you will always be my First Priority.”
After being discharged from the ICU, I expressionlessly signed the Unbinding application I had already prepared.
When he heard the news, Qin Sheng was still busy celebrating their victory. “We’ve been brothers for over a decade; he wouldn’t do this over such a small thing. He’ll be fine after sulking for three or four days. Come on, everyone, meet your future sister-in-law.”
Three days passed, then another three, and then three more. I never went to see Qin Sheng again.
It wasn’t until his Mental Landscape began to collapse and he fell into a state of mania that he was forcibly restrained by guards outside my consultation room.
His eyes were bloodshot as he roared, “Shen Shiwei! I’m your best friend! You said I was your First Priority! Open the door and help me!”
I responded with professional detachment. “If you make an appointment now, your turn will come in a month and a half.”
Xie Xun stepped out of the consultation room. “Major General Qin, a Guide’s First Priority is always the Sentinel they are bonded with.”
He paused, placing a hand firmly around my waist before pointing at himself. “And right now, that’s me.”
