My younger brother was the Favored Son of Heaven, cherished by the entire family.

Our parents adored him.

The world fawned over him.

I was the green leaf meant to set off his gold-and-jade brilliance, someone hardly anyone ever bothered to ask about.

I hired a pretty little bottom, slipped in the drugs, and hid the cameras.

Everything was ready.
