But the mood is bittersweet: before long, exams will be behind them and graduation ahead, and days like this — all five of them together, just having fun — won’t come so easily anymore. Once they scatter into their busy futures, they’ll never have it quite like their high school years again.

So they make a promise. Once a month, no matter what, the five of them will get together — a day that belongs to them and them alone. They call it “The Quintuplets’ Day.”
