Sato had been ground down by overwork and meager pay in the modern world, exploited by everyone around him for being a “nice guy.” Then one day, he woke up to find himself in another world entirely. And not just anywhere in that world — he found himself inside the Storm Tower, home of the most feared being in the land: “Prospero the Evil Wizard.” Before he could even make sense of the situation, Sato was more or less forcibly thrust into the role of Prospero himself.

Completely bewildered and desperate to get back to his old life as soon as possible, Sato nevertheless can’t bring himself to turn away a visitor who has come seeking Prospero — and before he knows it, he’s setting off on a journey alongside Ariel, a foul-mouthed fairy, to sort out the visitor’s troubles.

He gets targeted by the daughter of a demon clan. He gets captured by ruthless, villainous pirates. Throughout this wild, turbulent journey across another world, Sato is absolutely certain he’s been acting like a “nice guy” — and yet, through no intention of his own, his fearsome reputation as a villain only grows more polished with every step.

But then, a single fateful encounter shakes Sato’s path to its very core——.
