I love romantic comedies, but my favourite heroine isn’t the typical main one. She’s more of a sub-heroine, a loser heroine if you will, the one who never really connects with the protagonist.

So one day, I got hit by a truck and woke up as the hero’s best friend in a romantic comedy manga.

Honestly, this has to be a dream, right? I can’t believe I’m dreaming about getting hit by a truck.

In one scene, the best friend is alone with my favourite heroine, and suddenly, I’m in that character’s head.

We’re in the classroom together, and all I have to do is say it.

“I like you.”

“What? Why are you saying that all of a sudden?!”

“I’ll make you happy. I want us to go out.”

“Huh?!”

Since it’s just a dream, I casually put it out there.

If this wakes me up, I have no regrets.

Wait, why can’t I wake up? It’s usually the next day, right?
