The Result of Running Away From Home

Phoebe is engaged to Miguel, who constantly puts his frail childhood friend above her. Frustrated by his repeated cancellations and the affection he reserves only for that friend, Phoebe grows weary of their relationship. At home, she also feels isolated, as her father and brother have become distant since her mother’s death.

Unable to endure being ignored by both her fiancé and her family, Phoebe chooses to leave. With the assistance of her maid and butler, she runs away to a distant place where no one knows her, hopeful and excited to begin a new life.
