My Family Mocked Me For Faking My Death Until The Truth Drove Them Mad With Regret

全家嘲讽我装死,得知真相悔疯了!

Synopsis

After twenty years as the golden girl of the Song family, Song Ran was suddenly stripped of her status, it turned out she was an impostor.

Her adoptive parents treated her with cold indifference, her brother became utterly detached, and even Chang Yunjie, the man she had loved obsessively for years, vanished without a trace.

Heartbroken and disillusioned, she chose to marry an ordinary man, only to meet a tragic death in the river on her wedding night.

When the news of her death broke, no one believed it. Her adoptive mother sneered: “What kind of tricks is she playing now?” Her adoptive father said impatiently: “She’s just trying to force us to bow to her.” Her brother frowned: “Yan-yan (the real daughter) is shaken up; tell Ran-ran to stop making a scene.” Chang Yunjie went even further, tossing all her belongings into the tr*sh: “Faking her death? How boring.”

It wasn’t until three months later that her body was finally recovered from the river.

Her adoptive mother collapsed on the floor, clutching a handmade card Song Ran had given her as a child, with the crooked words: “Mom, I love you.” Her adoptive father sat in his study all night in dead silence, the ashtray overflowing, staring at a photo taken on Song Ran’s eighteenth birthday. Her brother went mad searching through his phone, looking at the countless blessing messages Song Ran had sent him before she died. Chang Yunjie rushed to the landfill, his fingers bloodied as he clawed through the tr*sh for the items he had thrown away, but he found nothing. He hadn’t even kept a single photo.

Everyone was consumed by a tidal wave of remorse, but it was far too late.

The Song family spent their days washed in tears. Chang Yunjie spiraled into alcoholism and madness, desperately searching for any way to contact the dead. “Song Ran, I beg you… please come out, just let me see you once…” “Song Ran, I’m sorry… I miss you so much.”

When Song Ran opened her eyes again, she had been reborn, returning to the eve of her fateful birthday banquet.
