Qi Danyi receives notice from the underworld that if he helps his ex-boyfriend Jiang Chong survive his tribulation in the form of a soul, he can ascend and become an official underworld employee.

Qi Danyi has been gone from the mortal world for well over three years. Relying on his memory, he drifts back to the home he used to know, only to find that Jiang Chong is still living in that shabby rented place. Looks like life is still just so-so.

Qi Danyi only wants to get this done fast, raise his merit, and go back to living a peaceful life.

As the appointed time draws closer and closer, Qi Danyi still has no clue at all. He starts attaching himself to the various objects on Jiang Chong, and “stalking” his every move.

When Jiang Chong crosses the street, Qi Danyi looks around anxiously, afraid someone will hit him;

When Jiang Chong eats, Qi Danyi is practically willing to taste the food himself, terrified Jiang Chong might be poisoned to death;

When Jiang Chong smokes, Qi Danyi grows tense and nervous, afraid that if he takes one more puff, he’ll get lung disease…

At last, one day, after Jiang Chong falls asleep and his consciousness grows fuzzy, Qi Danyi enters his dream. He seems to have forgotten why he came. Before he knows it, Qi Danyi blurts out the question he most wants to ask: “Hey, Jiang Chong, do you still remember me?”

“Hmph, if you dare forget me, I’ll never forgive you even if I die!”
