Synopsis
“I like you, you know.”
It happened that day, right after we’d changed seats.
The confession scribbled on the handout passed up from the desk behind me was meant for me.
The sender was Asamiya, a guy with handsome features who was always the center of attention in class. There was no way someone that bright could ever fall for a loner like me; we might as well have lived in different worlds.
I suspected it was a prank, but every day he bombarded me with his affection from the desk behind mine.
“I fell in love with you because you’re Mayama.”
“I want to touch you, Mayama.”
What’s more, the affection he directed at me was completely genuine, and before I knew it, I found myself not hating it.
