A Silent Voice

Ishida Shouya and Nishimiya Shouko haven’t met in five years. Shouko’s deafness made her an easy target in elementary school for Shouya’s relentless bullying, and the pain of that time has yet to release its hold on either of them. Shouya attempts to reunite with Shouko, hoping to change, but learning sign language has done little to make communication between the two of them any easier. Besides, since when did he deserve to be her friend?
