Synopsis

Three-year-old Yu Pangpang is a chubby little mermaid whose father fled with him in tow. When their tribe faced total extinction, the little guy crawled onto the shore in the middle of the night to save his life.

His tribespeople had whispered a secret to him: “You have another father the Emperor of the Empire on land. They say his bloodline is the rarest, passed down through only one heir for eighteen generations. You can go find him and ask him to raise you.”

Before he could find his imperial father, however, Pangpang was bound to a “Villain System.” The system commanded him, “You must become the world’s greatest villain! To be a true villain, you must be ruthless and commit terrible deeds!”

Pangpang wiped away his tears and sobbed, “Pangpang only knows how to sing and save people; I don’t know how to be a bad guy.” As the last remaining healing-type mermaid in existence, being a villain just wasn’t in his nature.

Under the system’s strict orders, the little mermaid tried his best to be “wicked,” trembling with nervousness every step of the way. In his clumsy attempt to be bad, he accidentally ended up in the territory of the Imperial Emperor a man currently suffering from a mental breakdown, surrounded by dark, rampaging energy.

Looking at the Emperor, Pangpang tilted his little head and asked in confusion, “Is this… my Papa?”

The Moslandi Empire is infamous for its dark royal lineage. Every emperor has been plagued by a fragile bloodline and the catastrophic backlash of their own immense mental power, eventually dying in agony. Louis, the current Emperor, is a man whose reign has been marked by bloodshed; the entire universe calls him a “madman” and a “tyrant.”

Louis had already prepared himself to die just like his ancestors. He had no intention of leaving behind an heir; he wanted the tragic curse of the royal family to end with him.

However, during a near-fatal mental collapse, the tyrant saw a chubby little cub standing before him. The cub gazed at him with wet, round eyes, terrified yet strangely healing him.

The Emperor was speechless. As he awkwardly scooped the cub up, a dormant sense of kinship and paternal instinct awakened.

Once brought home, the chubby little mermaid used his short, stubby legs to run around, healing the cold-hearted grandfather, the reclusive grandmother, and everyone in between. Hugging his tail, he chirped in a soft, milky voice: “Pangpang has to protect my family!”

Before long, the royal family members who had been at each other’s throats found themselves locked in a battle to spoil the child. Even the Federation Marshal, enemy emperors, and the mysterious leader of Old Earth caught wind of the “custody battle” and arrived one after another, clamoring: “Isn’t it encouraged to have children? I think this healing-type chubby mermaid is perfect we’ll take him.”

The System watched in shock as the little mermaid was showered with love by everyone. “Pangpang! You’re supposed to be a villainous fish! How did you become the Imperial Crown Prince instead?!”
