When the Cannon Fodder Master Awakened

炮灰师尊觉醒了[穿书]

Synopsis

Shi Suiren was the youngest Elder of the Tianquan Sect. After living for three hundred years, she finally discovered that she was merely a cannon fodder Master in a xianxia novel.

A transmigrator was about to seize her body, take the male Protagonist as her disciple, and help him ascend the Great Dao.

When Shi Suiren regained control of her body seven years later, the Protagonist, whom she had supported, had already become a peerless prodigy renowned throughout the martial world. Yet her own cultivation had dwindled to half, reducing her to a useless Elder.

These hardships were bearable, but she had searched the entire Sect without finding her obedient and beautiful young disciple, Gu Yaoxing, whom she had taken in seven years prior.

Shi Suiren exploded.

Shi Suiren later learned that Gu Yaoxing was originally the daughter of the Demon Emperor and the sickly, vicious female antagonist of the book. Her obsessive love for the male protagonist would eventually turn her into the book’s greatest villain.

The transmigrator, while treating the Protagonist with parental affection, subjected Gu Yaoxing to various forms of abse and torture. In the end, she even crippled Gu Yaoxing’s Immortal Meridian, demoting her to the lowest rank of medicine save.

When Shi Suiren found Gu Yaoxing, the young girl was emaciated from hunger, scrambling with the other medicine people for scraps of spoiled food on the ground. Upon seeing her, the girl cowered, covering her head and whimpering in terror.

Ignoring the bite that drew blood from her hand, Shi Suiren pulled her into a tight embrace.

“Xingxing, don’t be afraid. Master is back.”

Shi Suiren didn’t believe in any of that nonsense about transmigrating into a book. She returned to her peak, severely wounded the transmigrator, and gave that parasitic Dragon Protagonist a thorough beating before expelling him from the sect.

She also dismissed the idea of being some “vicious female supporting character.” Instead, she brought the now cold and timid Gu Yaoxing back to the sect, determined to redeem her through kindness and gentle guidance.

Her care for Gu Yaoxing grew almost excessive: she needed to be held while sleeping, fed at meals, and even had her back scrubbed during baths.

Later, the girl blossomed into a woman as cold and clear as frost. Not only did she restore her Immortal Meridian, but she even surpassed the Protagonist, becoming the Tianquan Sect’s most outstanding genius.

Shi Suiren was immensely proud. As she packed her belongings to depart for the Path of Ruthlessness, she saw her usually aloof disciple climb onto her bed, her gauze robe half-open, a longsword pressed against her pale neck.

“Master, don’t abandon me.”

Shi Suiren convinced herself that her teaching methods were flawed. Reluctantly, she abandoned the Path of Ruthlessness for the time being and instead began teaching her disciple the principles of social order and ethics.

But one day, after accidentally getting drunk, she woke up to find her beautiful and peerless disciple red-eyed and soft in her arms. Water still clung to her crimson lips as she tremblingly kissed Shi Suiren’s fingertips.

“Master… please, your disciple wants more…”

Shi Suiren: !!?

What do I do when the disciple I finally managed to redeem goes dark in a completely different direction?
