35th floor, 40th floor. As the elevator climbed toward the top of the building, I couldn’t hide my growing anxiety. With uneasy eyes, I turned to the person standing beside me and spoke, “Why would the chairman want to see me? I’m not even an employee of the company, nor the owner of the café…?”

At my cautious question, the chairman’s chief secretary kindly replied, “That’s not something I can presume to mention. The chairman will tell you himself.”

“I hope my attire isn’t inappropriate…” I muttered awkwardly, glancing down at my casual shirt.

“It’s fine. Please don’t worry.”

“Are you absolutely sure he asked for me and not our boss?”
