Half-Demon Si Teng
半妖司藤
Synopsis
Si Teng, a spirit transformed from a white vine (commonly known as a “ghost vine”) in Southwest China in 1910, was poisonous, cunning, and ruthless, even killing its own kind. She was also known as the “Demon Slayer,” unrivaled in power, never losing a battle. The demon world feared her, and the Taoist community trembled before her.
In 1946, Taoist master Qiu Shan killed the female demon Si Teng in Shanghai. Before her death, a strange, relieved smile appeared on Si Teng’s face.
In 2013, Qin Fang and his fiancée traveled to Nanquan in the west to find a benefactor of his ancestor. Their car crashed off a cliff; a spike pierced Qin Fang’s heart, and the dripping blood revived the long buried female demon. She claimed to be Si Teng, who had died before, and forced Qin Fang to obey her, plotting a revenge scheme. Qin Fang tried desperately to escape Si Teng’s control, but as he uncovered the truth, he gradually discovered that his fate had been predetermined more than seventy years ago…
