My Daughter Is Trying to Change the Law So That She Can Marry Me, Her Daddy, but She Doesn’t Know That She Is a “Stepdaughter”

When my daughter was 5 years old, her favorite phrase to say was, “I’m going to marry my daddy!”

I was not happy to hear my beloved daughter say that, but I thought that when she grew up, she would forget about her daddy, get a boyfriend, get married, have a baby, and be happy.

But something was wrong with my daughter. Even when she was in elementary school, junior high school, and high school, she kept saying, “I’m going to marry my daddy!”, and each year she got more serious.

When she reached high school she even said, “I will become the prime minister and change the law so that I can marry my daddy!” She wanted to marry me, even if it meant changing the law. So no matter how long it took, I couldn’t say to my daughter, “You are my stepdaughter.”

Although we are not related by blood, I believe we are a real parent and child. But if things continue as they are, we may become husband and wife instead of parent and child because we are not related by blood! What should I do?
